It was my late mother who taught me to read the Quran,
so that I could recite and pronounce the Arabic verses properly,
But when I grew up and went to the US back then,
I was searching for God as I felt the need for something more, intellectually.
Wanderings about God kept bugging me,
Until I read a book that asserts scientific facts in the Quran,
But the Quran is an ancient text and I wondered how could that be,
Moreover, modern science was not known at the time,
Could this be a proof that the Quran is divine?
As a student of physics at an American university,
I read modern scientific ideas on cosmology,
Under astrophysics the universe was investigated for its origin,
It concluded that the universe originated from a great explosion,
which was named the Big Bang to describe the size of the eruption,
Cosmic background radiation captured by COBE satellite (1989-1993) serves as affirmation.
I was taken by surprise to find the following verse in the Qur'an:
"Do not the unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before We clove them asunder, and We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?" (The Qur'an, 21:30)
I also learned that according to modern astronomy the universe is expanding,
Before this humans thought the universe was unchanging,
Sir Edwin Hubble observed that galaxies were constantly distancing,
The Hubble Space Telescope launched in 1990 confirmed this finding.
Amazingly also,
the Quran already announced this 14 centuries ago:
"And it is We who have constructed the heaven with might, and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it." (The Qur'an, 51:47)
I was totally astounded that both facts are in the ancient Qur'an,
as at the time of the Quran's revelation, they were unknown to anyone,
Because modern scientific information was not known at the time,
without hesitation, I concluded that the Quran is indeed divine.
The Quran says:
"Soon will We show them our Signs in the (furthest) regions (of the earth), and in their own souls, until it becomes manifest to them that this is the Truth. Is it not enough that thy Lord doth witness all things?" (The Qur'an, 41:53).
As time moves on, I quickly found out that,
there are also Quranic verses on other scientific subjects,
I now decipher each verse as I continue to reflect and gave careful thought,
I feel connected to the Quran and it leads me to God,
and gives me a sense of fullfillment and duty,
It was through science that I learned the Quran is God's grace for humanity.

MaşaAllah...harika!!! Sangat bernilai penemuan tuan doktor. AQ bukan buku sains tetapi telah melangkaui sains ratusan mungkin ribuan tahun bahkan hingga kiamat dengan kebenaran dan fakta yang tidak tersangkal oleh siapa pun.
